the 2025 Coon Creek Country Days Parade Grand Marshal
We’re thrilled to honor Lionel Mott as this year’s Grand Marshal!
A proud Hampshire resident for the past 23 years, Lionel has made a lasting impact on our community through his leadership, service, and dedication.
Though originally from Australia, Lionel found his true home in Illinois after a brief stint in California — and we’re lucky he did!
Married to his wife Judy for 45 years, Lionel will be joined in the parade by Judy and three of their great-grandchildren — Jasper, Miles, and Quinn!
Lionel’s community involvement includes:
- Former Hampshire Village Trustee
- Board member of the Hampshire Historical Society
- 15-year member of the Hampshire Lions Club, serving two terms as President
- Longtime volunteer and current member of the Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days Committee (over 15 years of service!)
